All revolutions were illegal

Constitutions can’t create or destroy natural rights like self-determination. They exist only to protect such rights. Denying such right by constitutional or non-constitutional means ferments a tyranny. [...] It’s nice if constitutions make reasonable provision for secession votes but it’s not required.
